Arthur's Antics - Happy 2nd Birthday!!!

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY ARTHUR!!!
A present frenzy begins!
He's not really a spoilt brat, honest!
How does this doggy puzzle work?

It's Arthur's 2nd birthday today (can't believe we've had him nearly two years already) and this gives us the opportunity to spoil him even more than he already is. After a morning spent investigating his new toys, which included loads more squeaky balls and cuddly's, Arthur is now set for his daily workout down our local park. This usually includes chasing one of his favourite squeaky balls around two fields, playing with new friends and a good swim if the tide is in, GREAT FUN!!!

 I'm waiting!
THROW ME THE BALL!
I am now a bouncy curly mass of energy!!!
 Poised for action!
 And we have take off!
 And again!
 And AGAIN!!!
You're not having it back now!
Oh, OK just one more throw!
An intensive workout is usually followed by an equally intensive nap!

Having thoroughly enjoyed his birthday, Arthur now dreams of an evening spent wrestling one of the poor Ragdoll cats, who's turn will it be today?

Tonight,s your lucky night!
A thorough ear wash is what's required here!
SO SO Scary!!!

No cats were harmed in the writing of this post!!!

Here's wishing Arthur a very very Happy Birthday!

  4. What a truly wonderful post Deborah. For one frightful moment I thought the toy cat clasped in Arthur's jaws was for real!! It looks incredibly realistic! ;-) He is one truly loved dog by the looks of it. No wonder he looks so happy!

    1. Thanks but now I feel awful, the cat in the photo IS real but totally unharmed by the experience, Arthur is quite gentle with him once caught! The worst he suffered was an ear wash and maybe a little loss of pride :-( they do generally co-exist very well x

  5. Ooh please don't feel bad - now I feel bad! ;-) No really, I can tell it's play fighting, 'real or no real' cat - isn't that a name of a TV show??! I thought cat seemed real. When I was growing up we had a mighty German Shepherd and a tiny cross bread pup who used to 'nip' said big dog constantly. All harmless and love and affection, so I totally get it :) xx

    1. No problems, it made me laugh :-) We have two Ragdoll cats and when they get together Arthur doesn't stand a chance, lol! I can honestly say though that he's never ever used teeth on them, it's always just the dreaded tongue x
