'Eau Ressourcante' - Silky Smooth Body Cream

Eau Ressourcante, Silky-Smooth Body Cream - £29

When I went along to Boots last week in search of my favourite Clarins Eau des Jardins Smoothing Body Cream I became distracted by some of the other lotions and potions that Clarins have to offer. Amongst them I found the Eau Ressourcante Silky-Smooth Body Lotion, it smelt so divine I decided to give it a go instead.

One of the things I really love about the Clarins products is their use of natural plant extracts and essential oils, so much better than chemical based ones. The smell of this cream is so fresh and light, it claims to work a bit like aromatherapy inducing feelings of relaxation while rebalancing your senses, both of which I'm in great need of at the moment!

The robina and longan properties help to moisturise and stimulate the skin leaving it feeling smooth and soft without any greasy residue while the essence of basil, iris, cedar and benzoin infuse the skin with a beautifully natural aroma. At £29 it's quite an expensive product, especially when compared to the Body Shop Body Butter, however it comes in a 200ml tub that should last for some time, I am defininately thinking of buying the matching Eau Ressourcante Bath and Shower Milk, £19, when next in Boots. You can check out the full range of products in this scent on the Clarins website here, I know I will be.

I'm so glad I decided to give this product a go instead of opting for my usual choice, sometimes it's good to try something new.

Have you tried any other Clarins products that you
would recommend?

  1. I love natural lotions. I am using the St. Ives and it claims to be pretty natural. This lotion looks so creamy/rich. Great review Deborah.

    1. I haven't used the St Ives products but I've heard a lot of positive feedback. The Clarins products always smell so natural and fresh and this body cream smells so good you really don't need a perfume too. Thanks for your lovely comments, as always they are very welcome :-))

  2. You're making me feel very dreamy Deborah, with all that talk of essential oils and beautiful botanical extracts! I love all of that too. I know Clarins is a bit pricey but I always think you get what you pay for (in the main). And as you point out, it's important to look at the volume of product you are getting for the price. Often you find that premium brands ml for ml are not much more expensive than the cheap high street ones. For years I've been a fan of Clarins Eau Dynamisante. Do you like that too?

    1. Hi Tracey, I hope you are enjoying this beautiful weather we have finally been experiencing! You are very right about premium brands, I find it's sometimes false economy to buy a cheaper brand as you usually have to use more to achieve the right effect. When I picked up my latest Clarins haul I was given a sample of Eau Dynamisante to try, it smelt so lovely I can see why it would be one of your favourites. Clarins are always good at dishing out the samples, I've purchased several full sized products after trying first, good marketing. I'm just popping over to your blog now to see what you've been reviewing lately, it's always a good read. x
